Alien ambush!

Another painting about being attacked! This'll be the last time I paint about this subject for for a while, i just have to get it out of my system. For this painting I want to be able to paint something in the dark with specific light sources! I hope to learn the importance of contrast. I'm also trying a more dramatic angel/prespective. After starting this one out, I'm worried if I have bitten off more than i can chew.... I hope I can finish this piece!

IT'S FINALLY DONE!!! WOOT!!! Well until I get feedback from my friends.. but for now its done, and besides, I dont think I can work on it anymore today...

Here's a close up of the mermaid. I didnt feel having just a naked chick wiht a fish butt enough to be a mermaid, so I decided to give her more fins. What do you think?
